Terms of use and sale
These terms apply to the use of the website https://stalak.app (“Stalak”) and to the Stalak Pro subscription. Stalak is published by the publisher of the site, a private individual (see the legal notice). Contact: [email protected].
1. The service
Stalak is a video editing tool that runs in your browser: it cuts your takes to the beat of your song, with on-screen lyrics, and exports videos for social networks. Editing and export happen on your device. The free version adds 3 seconds with the Stalak logo at the end of each video.
2. Your account
An account (email address, and if you want a display name, a photo and a password) is required for Stalak Pro. You are responsible for access to your email and your password. You can delete your account anytime from the Account page: your account data is then erased and any active subscription is stopped immediately.
3. Stalak Pro
Stalak Pro is a monthly (€9.99) or yearly (€79) subscription, VAT included for Europe; the final price in your currency and with your country’s taxes is shown before payment. It removes the Stalak end logo and unlocks music video mode, packs (several different videos made in one go), every text size and style, automatic lyrics (“Auto transcription”: up to 20 transcriptions a day, a part of 8 minutes at most each) and online saving of your projects (up to 20 GB; a project not opened for 6 months is deleted, after a reminder email sent at least 14 days before; without an active Pro subscription your saved projects are no longer accessible, but they are kept until that deletion and come back if you go Pro again).
The subscription renews automatically at the end of each period until you cancel it from your account. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current, already paid period. Prices may change: any change will be announced by email at least 30 days in advance and only applies from the next renewal.
4. Payment by Paddle
Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders: it collects payments, handles taxes and invoices, and processes payment and refund requests. Your order is also subject to Paddle’s buyer terms.
5. Refunds
You can get a full refund within 14 days of any payment, no questions asked. Details in the refund policy.
6. What you edit and publish
Your songs, videos and lyrics remain yours: Stalak doesn’t receive them to do the editing. If you use “Auto transcription”, the sound of the chosen part is sent to our service provider to write the lyrics, and is not kept. You must hold the rights to the music and images you use and follow the rules of the networks where you post. Don’t use Stalak for illegal or hateful content, or content that infringes other people’s rights.
7. Availability and liability
We do our best to make Stalak work well on iPhone, Android and computers, but the service is provided as is: there may be interruptions or bugs. Keep a copy of your original files. To the extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to the amount you paid for Stalak Pro in the last 12 months. Nothing in these terms limits your statutory consumer rights.
8. Termination
We may suspend an account in case of abuse or breach of these terms; if a paid subscription is affected through no fault of yours, the unused period is refunded.
9. Changes, governing law
We may change these terms; important changes will be announced in advance. These terms are governed by French law, without depriving you of the protection of the mandatory laws of your country of residence. In case of a dispute, please contact us first at [email protected].
